Fondant and Buttercream Flamingo Cake Class - 29 Jan 2022

  • Class Size : Limited to 6 students
  • Class Location : Cakewaves, 138 Rosebank Avenue, Clayton South, VIC 
  • Fondant and buttercream cake with colourful fondant decorations and sprinkles
  • Vanilla flavoured cake of 20 serves with buttercream filling and frosting
  • Students will learn to tort, level and stack the cake.(Please note the cakes will be prebaked by us and students will get to start from layering the cake)
  • Will learn to colour the buttercream (please note the buttercream is pre-made, and you will be given printed recipe for the buttercream to try at home)
  • Will Iearn to fill and ice the cake with buttercream
  • Students will learn to do the crumb coating and final coating with the buttercream
  • Students will learn to make the flamingo figurine and tropical leaves using fondant
  • Students will learn the dripping techninques for the chocolate drip (Please note that the chocolate drip is premade, students will be learning the dripping techniques. Also the chocolate drip recipe is included in the class notes for students to make their own in the future)
  • Finally they will learn to decorate the cake with the decorations they made and with sprinkle mix
  • All the ingredients and tools needed for the lesson will be provided by Cakewaves.
  • Apron will be provided
  • Students are required to bring their own snacks and water bottle.
  • End of the lesson you will get to take the delicious cake you made and enjoy it with your family.
  • Class notes will be emailed to all the students after the completion of the class.

  • Class numbers will be small and aligned to the covid rules

  • Booked classes are not given refund. Anyways we are happy to replace your slot if you find a replacement. But we will not do refunding and rebooking for the replacement. Fund transferring needs to be handled between you two. 
    Cakewaves should be notified atleast 14 days prior to the class date about not attending, in this case you may get the chance to join an alternative class instead.
    Each class required a minimum number of attendees, incase of less attendees Cakewaves will either reschedule or cancel the class.  Paid attendees will be given a choice of attending to the rescheduled class or any other upcoming class of their choice or will be refunded when they could not find anything suitable
